Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Why are duplicate usernames allowed?

A1. The usernames are in different groups. In multiple username and password protection, the same username can be entered for different access groups. Therefore, "John" in group A will have access to different pages than "John" in group B.

Q2. My username and password are in the authentication database, why can't I access the page?

A1. The username or password has been entered incorrectly. The most common mistakes with usernames and passwords are misspellings and capitalization errors. Both the username and password are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as they appear in the authentication database (as seen in the admin mode of mgiAuthenticateDB).

A2. The username has expired. If a username as assigned a start date and end date and the end date has passed, then the username will no longer have access to the page.
