Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Why are duplicate usernames allowed?
- A1. The usernames are in different groups.
In multiple username and password protection, the same username can be
entered for different access groups. Therefore, "John" in group
A will have access to different pages than "John" in group B.
Q2. My username and password are in the authentication
database, why can't I access the page?
- A1. The username or password has been entered
incorrectly. The most common mistakes with usernames and passwords
are misspellings and capitalization errors. Both the username and password
are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as they appear in the authentication
database (as seen in the admin mode of mgiAuthenticateDB).
-
- A2. The username has expired. If
a username as assigned a start date and end date and the end date has passed,
then the username will no longer have access to the page.
